Sparkles and Snowflakes

This card features a sketch of Jack frost from the recent movie Rise of the Guardians that I drew myself, coloured with Copic markers. Clear glitter glue has been used to create the frost patterning on Jack's jumper and has also been used on his staff, hair and the bottom of his trousers.
The paper is from Nothing But Freebies.

This card has been entered in the Sparkles and Snowflakes challenges at http://lovetocreatechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/challenge-48-sparkle-snowflakes.html and http://milkcoffeechallenge.blogspot.co.nz/ - the sparkles on Jack, and the snowflakes in the background of course, and it has also been entered in the Winter Wonder challenge at http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/challenge-48-winter-wonder-photo.html - the inspiration found in the photo being the colour blue, especially paler blue and snowflakes.

New Beginnings

New year, new blog, new beginnings :)
The card pictured here is based on the movie Tangled, which, for those of you who don't know is a Disney adaptation of Rapunzel.
Basically, the scene pictured here, which I hand-drew myself and then inked over with a black Copic marker, is the scene where Rapunzel is asking Flynn - the guy in the image - what happens after her dream of seeing the floating lanterns comes true, and he replies with 'you get to pick a new dream'.

The lantern in the top left corner is raised with mounting tape and coloured with Copic markers, the flowers in Rapunzel's hair are coloured with Copic markers and the rest of the image is water-colour.
The writing 'you are my new dream' is written using a black Copic marker, and the paper it is on is white card which has been coloured with water-colour pencils.
The background card is a Computer Scrapbook pattern.

This card is being entered in two different New Beginnings challenges over at http://sparkleandglitterwithrick.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/new-beginnings.html and http://stampyourlifeblog.blogspot.co.nz/2013/01/challenge-2-new-beginnings.html

Hope you all have a great 2013! :)
